Christina Whitney is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals and couples navigate life’s complexities, heal from trauma, and deepen meaningful connections. As the Founder and CEO of Northern California Family Counseling and Wellness Center, Christina leads with both clinical expertise and business acumen, holding a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) alongside her LMFT licensure.
Licensed in California, Arizona, and Nevada, Christina brings a culturally responsive and trauma-informed approach to every aspect of care. She is a Certified First Responder Counselor, uniquely equipped to support those who serve our communities. Growing up in a family of first responders and now married to a firefighter, Christina has a personal and professional understanding of the distinct challenges faced by this population. Her dedication to first responder wellness is not only clinical—it’s deeply personal.
Christina’s therapeutic philosophy is rooted in evidence-based practice and the latest research in trauma, neurobiology, and relational health. She has built a practice culture focused on safety, authenticity, and compassionate excellence, where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their growth journey.

I have always been passionate about understanding human behavior, relationships, and the resilience of the human spirit. Becoming a therapist was a natural path for me, as it allows me to support people through their struggles while empowering them to create meaningful change in their lives.
